Xbox reportedly has lots of game launches scheduled for the latter half of 2024. In fact, the release windows for the games have been resurfacing online for a while now.
Let’s not forget that Microsoft announced that it will be streaming the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase on June 9. And, the company is likely to share release dates for its first-party games across Xbox, Bethesda Softworks, and Activision Blizzard.
Xbox gears up for a packed second half of 2024 with multiple game releases
According to a recent report by The Verge (via undisclosed sources), the game release window is jampacked with similar titles coming later in 2024. The release date for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II from developer Ninja Theory is already out, it’s coming on May 21.
In the report, The Verge adds that Microsoft is likely to announce the release date for Starfield: Shattered Stars, the expansion pack for Bethesda Game Studios space-based RPG. These titles are coming in September 2024 according to Todd Howard.
Besides, the next Call of Duty game said to debut at the mystery Direct event is reportedly coming in October. Next up is the Avowed, an upcoming fantasy RPG by Obsidian Entertainment, which is coming later in November 2024.
Not to forget, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is also due in November. The Verge also reports that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are coming out in December 2024. However, The Verge doesn’t mention about launch windows of all other Xbox games coming later in 2024.
A few other games could be showcased in the upcoming event, but won’t be released this year
The two expansion packs by Blizzard might be released sometime in 2024. However, exact dates are unknown as of now. This includes the next World of Warcraft expansion, The War Within, and Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred.
Additionally, Xbox Games Studios is also due to launch two more non-first-party games this year. This includes PC-exclusive games Ara: History Untold and Towerborne.
It is also possible that games like Everwild, Clockwork Revolution, South of Midnight, and State of Decay 3, as well as the Fable and reboot for Perfect Dark, might show up at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. All that said, these titles won’t likely be released this year, at least.
All in all, it is pretty much evident that Microsoft’s gaming calendar for 2024 looks pretty good. Are you eagerly waiting for the launch of particular Xbox games in 2024? Let us know about it in the comments below.
