Nintendo Switch 2 specs and potential release date just got leaked
As you know, Nintendo plans to release Switch 2 in 2025, but we finally have some leaked information regarding its specs as Tom’s Guide reports.
The first information comes from Famiboards and the user LiC. After analyzing the shipments and customs data, it is believed that the upcoming console will have 12GB of RAM with 2x 6GB LPDDR5X modules.
RAM will provide 7,500MT/s transfer, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage is also expected. The next information comes from CentroLeaks, which states that the new Switch will have an 8-inch display.
There’s also a mention of a built-in microphone. As previously stated, Switch 2 is expected to be compatible with Switch games.
As for the specs, although this is an improvement, we doubt that Switch 2 will be on par with the Xbox Series X, as previously stated.
As for the expected release date, leaks claim that the new console will launch in May 2025.
