Windows 11 can run on Nintendo Switch, but the performance is disappointing

Nintendo Switch is an amazing console that revolutionized handheld devices, leading many manufacturers to develop their handhelds.
Some tech-savvy users managed to hack Nintendo Switch and run Windows 11 on it, and the results aren’t impressive.
Nintendo Switch can run Windows 11, just barely
It seems that with a little tweaking, you can run Windows 11 ARM, as Tom’s Hardware writes. This was done by PatRyk on X, and according to his tweets, it seems that Windows 11 runs inside of QEMU on Linux.
While Windows 11 works, its performance is abysmal, and navigation is painfully slow while gaming is impossible.
We assume that emulating Windows 11 inside of Linux drastically affects performance, and so far, we don’t know whether it’s possible to run Windows 11 outside of the virtual environment on Switch.
If you’re looking to run PC games on Switch, then Linux OS might be a better option, since Windows 11 barely works.
While it’s cool to see that Switch can do this, if you need a handheld gaming device that runs on Windows, ASUS ROG Ally X or its predecessor would be a much better solution.
In other news, Switch 2 will have 12GB of RAM, according to leaks, so it might be able to handle Windows, unlike the current model.
