Gemini will bring the Reply Suggestion feature on the Gmail app for Android

If your work involves replying to emails often on Gmail, there is good news! To make email writing efficient and enhance productivity, Google is allegedly working on a new feature powered by the Gemini Ultra artificial intelligence (AI) model.

A tip exclusively given to PiunikaWeb suggests, that the reply suggestion feature was discovered integrated within the Gmail app on Android. This means the AI-driven functionality will offer intuitive reply suggestions directly within the Gmail app, thereby revolutionizeing the entire mailing experience.

The Reply Suggestion feature is supposed to be integrated into the Gmail app on your Android devices, which will be made available for Google’s Gemini Advanced subscribers.

It aims to simplify email correspondence and eliminates the need of crafting replies manually, instead the AI tool will analyze the content of received email and create a customized suggestions, saving your time.

Gemini will also ask for your feedback to understand whether suggestions made were bad to improve the future ones.

On opening an email, and choosing the reply option, you will get a new panel named Reply suggestions from Gemini, which will showcase tailored responses based on email’s content.

You can first review them to know which one suits best, then tap on the preferred response. The text selected will appear in the compose field, which you can modify or send as it is.

This news came out after Google’s announcement regarding the Gemini Ultra’s integration across the Google Workspace suite, thereby extending AI capabilities to Docs, Gmail, Slides, Sheets and Meet for Gemini Advanced subscribers. And, it looks like the search giant is working on the same.

The Gemini Advanced subscription is available via Google One AI Premium plan, which provides users with advanced feature for a monthly fee of USD 19.99. As of now, for promotion, Google is offering a trial period of two months without any cost.

We expect the reply suggestion feature to be rolled out in upcoming weeks. As Google is moving towards making its productivity suite AI-powered, it brings hope for those who want to streamline communication and boost their productivity in the workspace even with their mobile devices.

It is important to note that there is no officially confirmation on the rollout schedule of the impending feature.
