microsoft ai plans may 20

Microsoft’s push for AI in Windows and across all its native software has been evident in the last few months. Now, the Redmond-based tech giant is holding an exclusive event to share the company’s plans for AI, both development and deployment.

According to reports in The Verge, Microsoft has emailed invites to journarlists to attend the May 20 AI event, scheduled for morning, a day before the Microsoft Build 2024 event starts.

The May 20 event won’t be live-streamed and will only be open to media persons who received an invite.

What can you expect from the May 20 event?

Microsoft is set to showcase the ARM-based Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for the first time during the event. This dispels previous rumours of the two arriving as early as March.

Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 run on the Snapdragon X Elite processor and feature a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) to fast-track AI tasks on your Windows PC.

Also, during the May 20 event, we will find out more about Microsoft’s plan for AI integration in Windows. The new AI-based File Explorer could be a highlight!

Lastly, Microsoft Copilot may take the central stage. The tech giant has extensively worked on the AI-based chatbot and integrated it into practically everything for users to leverage the power of AI, Microsoft Security Copilot being a prime example!

We will be keeping a close eye on it and will bring more updates to you. For now, do share what you think is Microsoft’s vision of AI in the comments section.
